Why Rate Articles ?

Tell the vendor.

From the statistics I can see that a number of vendors read this blog regularly. In particular, when I mention certain key words I notice that the commercial blog monitoring networks start to hit the site to report back to companies about the “social networking markets”. It is one of scary parts of blogging knowing that “they” are watching.

From the contact I receive from marketing people I know that they take the articles seriously and read your comments to determine if you agree with me. By rating the the articles you have a chance to show the vendor whether you think the article is important or whether I got it wrong. Reminder: I write on topics that interest me — you won’t get journalism here (Although good journalism is hard to find.…..).

Show our Community what matters

I also hope it would provide information to other people who read the articles. They can then judge the quality of an article, or whether the author (yep, that’s me) is a crackpot.

Some Technical Information

The rating system is designed to withstand a certain level of abuse. It uses cookies, IP Address, User Agent and other information to try to ensure only a single vote per person. Hopefully that is enough.
