We&#039;ve overcome &quot;Backhoe Attenuation&quot; years ago by hanging our fibre high on poles (or occasionally banana trees). 		<description>These nasty fibre predators fear nothing, but one thing. In times of economic depressions, cables are left alone.

Where I live, the most devastating type is Eastern European Migratory Fibre Eater. A particulary nasty type that has no regard for fibre optics (nor GPS).</description>
