Network Dictionary – wakeophasia

The sensation that happens when you got up at 5am to get some work done before the rest of family wakes up. The suddenly your six year old is tapping you on the shoulder and asking for breakfast and a hug.

Feeling is characterised by an alarming transition from the concentration state to an awareness of the time passing and the fact that you didn’t get as much done as you had hoped.

Mostly applies to remote workers, home workers and other victims of “workday extensions” and the bloody BYOD trend.
