Network Dictionary – Opporchanceties

A term used to describe those times when a new project comes along and you see a chance to buy some stuff that can upgrade that old crap that isn’t being funded from the operational budget (if you even had one).

It’s not often you get a chance like this so you always take the opportunity. For many companies, it’s the only way that most network upgrades every get done. You spend your working life watching for the projects that you can squeeze some extra equipment out of.
