Network Dictionary – Nortard

Nortard (nor-tard)

Term used to describe a person who believes that Nortel is the king of networking – either voice or data.

Almost unknown in the wild and getting rarer now that the natural habitat has been eroded by poor support, poor sales and poor business management. Recent reports suggest that extinction may occur shortly but that no plan exists to preserve the species. Which is a shame, it was once a fine thing but the world may well have passed them by.

So what’s the equivalent for someone who recommends Cisco for everything, even if it might not be the best solution in a particular scenario?

  2. Greg Ferro says:

Harsh, but fair. Look for an equivalent post soon.
