		<description>There are a number of talk-to-text services out there and I can see that this would solve the symptom, but its not addressing the _cause_. 

Letting people leave voicemail means that voicemail will live on for other people. Who will then insist on leaving me even more voicemail. And the impact on my workflow remains the same, disruptive and wasteful. 

I guess if I get into a situation where I have to use voicemail (yes, I can accept certain environments will be like that), then this is what I would do to make my life better.
