iTerm 2- Top Tab Tip – Show the Profile Name

When you use iTerm 2, by default it doesn’t show the name of the profile in the tabs. Which is a bit annoying. There is a setting in the default preferences that allows you to set the default for TAB names globally.

This is what you would see with the defaults:

Caption Text.

Head into the iTerm2 Preferences, and select Appearance, Show Profile Name like so:

And now the tabs on your iTerm will look like this:

MUCH BETTER.
