Etherealmind Has a New Look and Opens for Direct Sponsors

Etherealmind​.com has had a makeover on the week­end and has a new theme. It’s much more mod­ern and I think I got the col­ours cor­rect this time. I’m much hap­pier with the look and feel and it seems a bit quicker. I have decided to adopt the motto (after last weeks feed­back from readers):

Where too much net­work­ing would be barely enough¹

I have also changed the way that advert­ising is laid out on the site. And speak­ing of ads.….

Advertising

After much think­ing and dis­cus­sion I have decided to accept spon­sor­ship for dir­ect advert­ising. The same con­cepts will still apply with regards to eth­ics and stand­ards and there is no change to what and how I write (if you can call it writ­ing). I will con­tinue to dis­close where neces­sary and main­tain edit­or­ial independence.

There are two reas­ons for this change. Firstly, the host­ing costs of run­ning this site are start­ing to get sig­ni­fic­ant and my wife and chlidren would prefer if my blog paid for itself. Secondly, I would like to increase my con­tri­bu­tions to char­ity. If I can increase the advert­ising rev­enue, then I’m hop­ing to achieve both.

Justgiving

We have been fun­drais­ing for the hall for about ten years now, and have recently com­pleted the build­ing. However, we need to pay off the debt incurred and I have con­tinue to donate and cur­rently have raised £232.00 out of my tar­get of £500.
