Whats a “Digital Transformation” I hear you ask ?
Digital Transformation is changing the way companies do business. Businesses’ and customers can be connected in real time, all the time. Businesses’ can deliver connected services that enable a host of new high-value experiences for their customers that translate to new sources of revenue.
With this transition, job roles are changing and individuals will be required to enhance their current skill set. The Digital Transformation portfolio will prepare candidates with the skills to become a trusted advisor and advocate, leading customers through business discussions and recommending solutions necessary to achieve the desired business outcomes.
Ok, got that ? Make sense ? No, me either. I think these are sales certification for reseller employees. It would seem that resellers lack the ability to find, train and employ sales people so Cisco is reacting to this deficiency by developing seven different training programs (including proctored exams) to build skills to sell Cisco products.
Its as if Cisco customers aren’t buying their products anymore and the solution is to double down on more sales people. Not a bad idea, but maybe some focus on product quality, cost and features would be more effective.
