- Lenovo erects Atom tower • The Register – Lenovo is releasing desktops and servers using the cheaper and low power Atom CPU. Wanna bet that Intel is pissed ? Selling lots of cheap computers with cheap CPU's isn't good for business because the profit is with the big iron. Ahhhh, the times are a changing!
- EMP’s CCIE Blog – Eric M. Phillips (recently got his number!) has been posting his scenarios that he used to memorise certain aspects of technology. Mendicants should check out his study technique as well as his excellent practice questions.
- Intel dubs 2009 ‘The Year of 10Gb Ethernet’ • The Register – Oh yeah, sure. "The year of 10GB Ethernet. What bollocks. We will definitely see some 10GbE in the data center, but it will not be normal. Look for specific servers (big iron Vmware) or switch uplinks, but for most of the couple of hundred servers that will get deployed in my data centers, they won't be 10GbE. Ridiculous market research.
