Internets of Interest:22 Feb 10

Collection of useful, relevant or inane places on the the Internets for 22 Feb 10:

  • Understanding MSTP – CCIE Blog – Definitive, complete, with the backstory and references on the MSTP.

Awesome. Go and read it now. Add it to your study notes.

  • Software: Choose Wisely « Tigions Blog – Mac OSX software that lets you dynamically select which web browser to use for any link. Although I use Choosy to do this (it has more features and was available first), it is very useful when testing load balancers, or working on web sites, or diagnosing proxy server problems to be able to choose which web browser to use for every link you look at.
  • SmartSleep – MAC OSX Preference Pane that gives a lot more control over the sleep and hibernate settings for your Mac.
SmartSleep.prefPane let's you select each select sleep state. Additionaly the new SmartSleep state lets your notebook just sleep while the battery has a high level. If the battery level drops below a certain point ( default is less then 20% or 20 minutes ) it will switch to sleep and hibernate. So you have the best of both worlds.
