Cisco Security Manager - Shortcut to Restarting Services
6 August, 2008 by Greg Ferro Print Posting
If you work with CiscoWorks, you often need to restart services for changes to take effect. This tip shows how to chain the stop and the start together on Microsoft Windows. The temptation might be to use the Windows Service Manager to stop and restart services. I found this took too much time.
Open a command window, and you can type
net stop crmdmgtd
and this will stop all Cisco Security Manager services. To start them again :
net start crmdmgtd
Since this takes minutes, you want to be able to chain these commands together so you do something else while you are waiting.
net stop crmdmgtd && net start crmdmgtd
You can see the output in the following screenshot.
