Simple but sweet, this just shows you how to get the serial number for all the modules in your Catalyst 6500 switch.

    Nice article, but that’s a lot of output. Try this:

    sh idprom backplane | include serial

    or

    sh inventory

    Either way, that sure is a ‘purty switch.

    You can also do a “show mod”

    That gives you all the output and it’s much easier to read.
