Cisco Security Manager 3.2 - Released - Woo Hoo!
1 April, 2008 by Greg Ferro Print Posting
Excitement all over the place for me today. I am a big fan / user / bondage slave of CSM, and the 3.2 release looks like it covers some of my current pain points, expecially supporting the latest releases of ASA software. Also, VMware support is on the way!!
Selected new fun packed features
• Enhanced Cisco Security Manager and MARS integration
• Support for Cisco Firewall Services Module (FWSM) 3.2(2) and 3.2(3)
• Support for Cisco ASA Software Versions 7.2.2, 7.2.3, and 7.2.4
• Cisco ASA Software Versions 8.0/8.1 support: Firewall, firewall settings, and platform support for all features that are backward-compatible with Cisco ASA Software Version 7.2.2
• Expiring ACL rule notification
Q. Is Cisco Security Manager 3.2 supported using VMware?
A. We plan to officially support Cisco Security Manager using VMware ESX Server 3.5 in an upcoming maintenance release of Cisco Security Manager 3.2.
